Pilling is not a sign of poor quality, and although it can’t be fully prevented, you can avoid pilling and prolong the life of your knit garments by caring for them properly. Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent, lay flat to dry, and use a sweater trimmer when items are pilled. Never machine wash, tumble dry, or hang dry. Store knitwear folded into drawers to prevent stretching and moth holes.
